Project in Process:
Circles.
For Christmas, I want to put together a canvas of photographs I've taken of circles. This is for my youngest, Little O. I've begun by taking some pictures around the house, but plan to venture outside soon.
Please, let me know what your favorite things are that are circles!
I would love to have some creative ideas to add to my collage.
Also, I think I'll crop each one into a square. If that's the case, I may need to retake a few pictures. I want a better one of a spool of thread--just a single spool. I tried taking some pictures of a record but didn't get what I wanted. Also on the docket--gear, tire, hay bale. Oh, maybe I can get down to the train yard. More to come...
Cool project!
ReplyDeleteCircle faves:
pie
egg yolk
wedding ring
belly button
Thanks Dani! I definitely have to get a good egg pic. That will mean cleaning my stove better. In fact, I'm going to try for all your circles. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteMeg, Since Colorado has a lot of these, I would recommend those huge irrigation wheels, and if you can get to a high enough elevation, just the crop circles on the ground. It's too bad that you don't have a little helicopter or a plane, because you could get the Carbondale rodeo as well.
ReplyDeleteOh, more ideas....!
ReplyDeleteBottle top/cap
candle looking down from above
pancake
buttons
bathtub drain (the little switch part against the tub)
various animal eyes or people eyes (Mama and Papa, and brother Sol?)
I'm sure I'll think of more.
Sam, I have often thought, "It's too bad I don't have a little helicopter". :) The pancake would definitely go with my food theme for tomorrow. I'm so glad you mentioned eyes, because I was thinking this as I stared at Oliver's eyes today. His are particularly open and round. Sol's eyes are so squinty it would be hard to see any circles. Keep the ideas rolling and I'll keep photographing.
ReplyDeleteMeg, I've been in the dark about your blog. Silly me, now I'm enlightened...its so sweet! Circles for Little O...its hard for me not to think of pottery wheels, clay being thrown on those pottery wheels, mugs, bowls...can you tell I live with a potter?
ReplyDeleteJill, Thanks! I love your ideas. I was thinking of a mug of tea from above, but I wanted just the right mug. Could I come take photos in the studio on Thursday? I would love to have a pottery wheel or clay in the mix!
